James Baldwin: The Man and His Work

This collection of six lectures surveys the life, writing, and legacy of James Baldwin. After an opening lecture that summarizes his biography there is a lecture each on Go Tell it on the Mountain and Giovanni’s Room. Following that there’s a lecture of his essays with particular emphasis on the collection published under the title of The Fire Next Time.Then there’s a lecture on his short stories and a final lecture about his continuing literary legacy.
One motive for listening to these lectures was to increase my familiarity with his work, and possibly learn how books I've already read fit within his full body of work. Perhaps exposure to these lectures could be a guide in deciding if I want to read more of his books. The following are books by Baldwin that I've read with links to my reviews:
